The message at Interclean Amsterdam 2026 was clear: autonomous cleaning robots have shifted from proof-of-concept to standard practice. The world's leading professional cleaning trade fair attracted participants from more than 130 countries this year and placed AI-driven automation firmly at the centre of the agenda.
What Was on the Exhibition Floor
Interclean 2026, held from 14 to 17 April at Amsterdam RAI, was for the first time entirely focused on robotics, AI and sustainability. Where autonomous robots were still a niche in previous editions, they literally took centre stage this year.
Manufacturers presented systems that not only navigate independently, but also plan, adapt based on footfall, recharge automatically and generate reports for facility management.

The Models That Stood Out
Sparkoz TN70 Pro and TN10 Pro
Sparkoz presented two new models: the TN70 Pro for large surfaces such as airports and shopping centres (2,040 m²/h, fully autonomous with automatic recharging and water refilling) and the more compact TN10 Pro for offices, shops and healthcare environments.

KEENON Robotics
KEENON showcased a Multi-Robot Collaboration system where multiple robots clean the same space in a coordinated manner, aiming for zero downtime and maximum coverage in complex buildings.

ECOVACS DEEBOT PRO
ECOVACS debuted its commercial DEEBOT PRO range on the European market and played a leading role in developing China's first national standard for commercial cleaning robots (GB/T 46495-2025), in effect since 1 May 2026.

Why Investors Are Embracing the Segment
In parallel with Interclean, Swiss company KEMARO announced in April a pre-closing of $5 million in its Series B round, on track for a total of $20 million. KEMARO supplies AI-native industrial floor cleaners to more than 600 customers worldwide, including Unilever, Nestlé, BMW and Amazon.
The signal is consistent: institutional investors no longer view autonomous cleaning robots as speculative, but as infrastructure.
Why This Matters for Belgian Businesses
Belgian facility managers face the same challenges as elsewhere in Europe: rising labour costs, labour shortages and increasing hygiene requirements. The models presented at Interclean 2026 are already available through distributors in the Benelux.
Autonomous cleaning reduces operational costs not by replacing people, but by shifting routine tasks so that staff remain available for more complex or customer-facing work. In sectors such as logistics, retail, healthcare and hospitality, that difference is already measurable.

Conclusion
Interclean Amsterdam 2026 confirmed what the figures already indicated: the market for autonomous cleaning robots is growing structurally. The technology is mature, business cases are proven and investment is following. For Belgian businesses still hesitating, the question is gradually no longer whether, but when.
