The outdoor edition of the Beetle. IP54, rain detection and an 800 mm cleaning width, for loading docks, factory yards and everything in between.
The Beetle 2.0 is the outdoor variant of the Beetle. Where the standard Beetle is built for warehouses and production halls, the 2.0 goes a step further: loading docks, factory yards, campuses and car parks.
IP54 and WeatherSense Guard make that possible. When the system detects rain, the robot returns to its dock on its own and resumes once conditions allow. A reinforced chassis with suspension handles uneven terrain, ramps and speed bumps.
The cleaning width grows from 750 to 800 mm and the 142 mm roller brush handles the full range, from fine dust to leaves and gravel. The optional BeeSafe module adds patrol and inspection, letting one machine cover two roles.
Gausium showed the full range side by side in Amsterdam. The Beetle 2.0 is third from the left, with the wider, more angular body and the heavier wheels. The standard Beetle is fifth, recognisable by its rounded shell and signal flag.

An IP54 housing keeps out dust and splashing water, and WeatherSense Guard watches for rainfall in real time. If it starts raining, the robot pauses its round and drives back to its dock on its own. Once it is dry, it picks the round up where it left off. No crew has to go and fetch it.

On a company site the robot shares the road with people and vehicles alike. Alongside the forward 3D LiDAR there is a rear-mounted 2D LiDAR, backed by surround camera vision, so no blind spot is left. Ramps, speed bumps and uneven paving are handled on a reinforced chassis with suspension.
